Biography
Dr. Rajagopal, a native of Madras, India, received his Bachelors in Dental Surgery in 1999. He came to the United States to pursue his graduate research training in Dental Biomaterials followed by a residency in Pediatric Dentistry.
During his training in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Rajagopal was a two-time winner of the graduate table clinic poster presentation and was awarded the certificate by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He also served as Clinical Instructor to the dental students and pediatric dental residents while he was a Fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Dr. Rajagopal has a keen interest in treating children with special health care needs and those children who need emergency dental care. He has been practicing in the Eldersburg office since 2008. He serves as the Dental Director for Walnut street community health center in Hagerstown, MD where he cares for underpriviledged and disadvantaged children. He is a medical staff member with priviledges at Kernan Hospital and Meritus Medical Center.
Dr. Rajagopal (known to all as Dr. Raj) currently resides in Hagerstown, MD along with his wife, Dr. Kavitha, an internal medicine physician, and their daughter Annapoorna. His hobbies include watching soccer and cricket, and playing tennis. Dr. Rajagopal is committed to provide quality comprehensive pediatric dental care and establishing longstanding relationships with his patients and their families.
