Biography

Dr. Ledoux practices surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he focuses on trauma, pathology, and reconstructive surgery. He particularly enjoys the challenges of reconstructing our wounded warrior soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines. He is very pleased to serve our nation's military and the people of the capital region, quite a change from his native South Louisiana.

After high school graduation, Dr. Ledoux enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a medic and surgical technologist, serving five years on active duty and another three years in the reserves. During this period, he also graduated from Southern Illinois University with a B.S. degree in Healthcare Management, achieving the status of magna cum laude. To continue his career in medicine, he then pursued a B.S. in Biology at University of North Florida to satisfy the requirements for dental school. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in 2010, also serving as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve during this period. He returned to active duty service in 2010 and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Womack Army Medical Center in 2015. He subsequently completed two fellowships at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, training under the legendary Dr. Robert Marx. From 2015 to 2016, Dr. Ledoux completed a fellowship in Maxillofacial Tumor and Reconstructive Surgery. From 2016 to 2017, he completed a fellowship in Microvascular and Facial Plastic Surgery. Today, in addition to his full-time practice, he serves as a diplomate to the Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Ledoux enjoys biking, running, and spending time with his family. He can be located in his part-time practice at the Fusion Dental Waldorf office.
